Any skydivers wishing to participate can do so by getting a "Skydivers For M.S." sponsor sheet, available at either of the host DZ's or by contacting me directly Ken Adams. All that it entails is collecting donations from co-workers and friends. They can either sponsor you per jump, or donate a flat rate. All checks must be made payable to "Skydivers for M.S.".

You may also come out the day of the event and register. Registration for this years event will be run the same way as last years. A $10.00 fee gets you a cool event shirt, and will cover all of the evening's activities: dinner, beer, and band.

The other way you can help is the auction on Saturday night. We will be auctioning off a great deal of merchandise. Most of the items for auction will be skydiving related equipment and clothing. There will be non-skydiving items available also; please check the web site for a list of items as we get them. Last year we had huge discounts on all sorts of equipment from skydiving manufacturers and dealers, canopies, containers, jump suits, boards, videos, reserve re-packs, and just about everything you can think of. If you're in the market for any new gear at the time of the auction, it's a great way to buy it.

The final way to contribute will be the raffle tickets. Last year we raffled off two major prizes, a complete rig, and a season's free skydiving at Chicagoland Skydiving. Watch this site for information on this year's raffle prizes and sale dates.

Non-Jumpers Can Contribute Too

How Students and Non-Jumpers Can Contribute:

If you are not an active skydiver and would like to participate, you can do so in a few ways.

The best way to participate is to come out and make a skydive! It's a great excuse to finally make that first jump. Just contact Chicagoland Skydiving or Archway Skydiving Center, and make an appointment. Tell them that you would like to jump for the "Skydivers for M.S." on June 24th or 25th. There are different methods for making your first jump: see the links to both drop zones for specific information. The most common method for first time jumpers is a Tandem jump. The drop zone contributes a portion of each student jump to Skydivers for M.S. Included in the price of your first jump will be an event T-shirt and access to all of the activities on Saturday night. We will be having a party including dinner, bonfire, beer, and a live band. Kevin Purcell and the Night burners, a well known Chicago-area band, will be returning to play for us again this year.

You can also participate in all the other contribution activities: auction, raffle, or individual sponsorship. You can receive a sponsor sheet by contacting me at the web site, or call or write me and I will send you one.

The whole day is a great time for everyone. Even if you don't plan on making a jump, you can come out and participate. There is a $10.00 registration fee, which will provide you with dinner, beer, and the band. This is a great way to find out what an exciting sport skydiving is, and find out why there is nothing else like it.

If you plan on coming and are interested in spending the night, both drop zones allow camping and have a large group of skydivers that camp out every weekend, so you won't be alone out there. Pack a tent and plan on staying all weekend!
